What is CGPA ?

What is the format of a VTU USN?
A USN (University Seat Number) in VTU follows a fixed 10-character format:
[Series] [College Code] [Year] [Branch Code] [Roll Number]
Example: 1ME21CS017
- 1 → Series (University region code)
- ME → College Code (unique 2-letter code for your college)
- 21 → Admission Year (last two digits of the year, e.g., 2021)
- CS → Branch Code (e.g., CS = Computer Science, ME = Mechanical, EC = Electronics, etc.)
- 017 → Roll Number (three digits, starting from 001, cannot be 000)

❌ Invalid USN example: 1ME21CS000 (roll number cannot be 000)
